About me

I’m passionate about making functionalware. I wheelthrow in my basement studio and fire in oxidation (electric kiln). I use carving and/or alterations on my pieces to enhance surface design and balance form. My pottery is foodsafe and lead-free.

I make my pots with intention to challenge and throw a variety of functional forms. It is my nature that actions and objects should have purpose and functionality. As a (now retired) nurse practitioner, my goal of medical care was always to maintain my patients’ functional performance status and optimize their quality of life.

I've participated in the Bucks Arts exhibition, Artists of Yardley Fine Craft Shows, Doylestown Arts & Craft Festival, Haverford Guild Show and regional fine art and craft events; including the honor of being an award winner my first time at the New Hope Arts and Craft Show. I am most proud though, of having achieved Chapter Juried Status in the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen.

I've been inspired by, and have attended workshops given by great functional potters such as Sarah Wells Rolland and Bill Van Gilder. To connect my pottery addiction to support of animal welfare, proceeds go to animal rescues/shelters and other worthy causes.
